REGISTERING FOR THE EVENT

Who should attend the Property and Commercial Law Conference?

The Property and Commercial Law Conference is designed for practitioners in Queensland at any experience level who practise in property and development and commercial law. With the introduction of the commercial track the sessions are also applicable to in-house lawyers.

How much does it cost to attend?

QLS Member (Early Career Lawyer) - $499

QLS Member - $579

Non-Members - $699

Early Career Lawyer discount available to QLS members with 5 years or less post-admission experience and QLS student members.

Can I share my registration with another person?

Splitting or sharing a registration is not allowed under any circumstance. Even if you only want to attend part of the conference you cannot share your registration with another delegate.

Can I register to attend just one session of the conference?

No. Registrations for the conference are for the full day, which covers attendance to the entire day’s program. Delegates cannot register to attend a single session or a half-day session.

When do registrations close?

Tickets are available until 5pm, Friday 12 September 2025, unless sold out prior.

Can I cancel my registration?

If you need to cancel your registration, please send your request via email to events@qls.com.au.

If we receive your cancellation at least 7 days before the event (not including the event day), we'll refund your registration fee minus a 30% cancellation fee. If the cancellation request comes in 7 days or less before the event (again, not including the event day), unfortunately, we won’t be able to offer a refund. Is the event hybrid?

While we will be recording the conference, it will not be available for viewing on the day of the event. Attendance is in person only.


GETTING THERE

Where do I park?

Sofitel Brisbane Central offers on-site parking from $17 and valet parking from $60. Find more information here.

How do I get there on public transport?

Direct access to the hotel is available via Ann Street and Brisbane's Central Station. Look for the double doors with the hotel name above it and follow the escalators up to arrive at the hotel lobby.

ON THE DAY

Is the conference catered?

As with most QLS events, we have a delicious and plentiful food and drink offering!

Will I get access to presenter materials?

Some presenter materials may be available on the conference app and some will be sent to attendees at the close of the conference. Materials availability is subject to presenter approval.

How to ask a question in a session?

If you wish to ask a question or make a comment during the session, please raise your hand and wait for the microphone or use the Live Q&A tab within the app for that session. The chair will address these at an appropriate time within the session.

Is there a dress code?

The dress code for all conference sessions and the social function is business, or smart casual. Some attendees find the conference rooms cool so we recommend bringing a light jumper or jacket.


EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Is the conference recorded?

Yes, the conference will be recorded and available for purchase after the event. A 50% discount on the recording package will be offered to attending delegates.

How many CPD points do I earn?

Delegates will earn 7 CPD points through 7 in-person sessions.
