The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) is Australia's regulators for heavy vehicles and now has a singular focus with their role in Queensland. It has resumed responsibility for the delivery of heavy vehicle on-road compliance and enforcement services in Queensland, including Programmed Vehicle Inspections (PVI), since 20 April 2024.
Join the Statutory Compliance/Prosecutions team from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator as they provide a key re-introduction to the regulator as prosecuting in Queensland will now have a slightly different approach. They will also discuss primary duties offences and the extending liability that applies to corporate defendants.
Presenters:
Mark Fenlon, Senior Prosecutor, National Heavy Vehicle Regulator; Member, Queensland Law Society Wellbeing working Group
Dallas Henderson, Major Prosecutions Manager, National Heavy Vehicle Regulator.
