Join us for the 2025 Mental Health Breakfast, hosted during Queensland Mental Health Week, as we come together to explore resilience and wellbeing in the legal profession.
This year’s theme, “Picking up the pieces: overcoming hardship and managing in the law”, invites you to reflect and learn strategies to navigate the challenges of the profession with other legal professionals.
Following a plated breakfast, you’ll hear from a panel of inspiring speakers who will share their personal and professional insights on building resilience, overcoming adversity, and supporting mental wellbeing in the legal workplace.
What to expect:
- A warm welcome and introduction by QLS President Genevieve Dee
- A panel discussion featuring:
Professor David Heilpern, Dean of Law and Chair of Discipline, Faculty of Business, Law and Arts, Southern Cross University
Kylie Hillard, Barrister, Queensland Bar
Julie Johnston, Clinical Psychologist and Founder, Wellbeing Options Psychology;
Chaired by Belinda Winter, CEO and Founder, Winter Workplace Consulting; Chair, Queensland Law Society Wellbeing Working Group
- Practical strategies for managing hardship and fostering resilience
- Opportunities to connect with peers and contribute to the conversation during the Q&A
Last year’s event received glowing feedback, with 100% of attendees saying they would recommend it to others. Don’t miss this chance to be part of a meaningful and empowering morning.
