Join us at Customs House, Brisbane for the next event in our popular In-house Lawyers Breakfast Series. This series brings together the local in-house practitioner community to connect over a delicious breakfast and coffee while hearing from esteemed leaders in the field.

 

This session is designed specifically for in-house lawyers and will explore the foundations of successful working relationships with external advisers. We will unpack what each side values most in the partnership, how to align expectations from the outset, and how to ensure legal advice supports broader organisational objectives.

  • What makes a good partnership between commercial and in-house counsel
  • Establishing clear scopes of work and managing expectations
  • Setting and managing budgets, including addressing cost creep
  • Best practice approaches to transparency, communication and accountability
  • How commercial lawyers can work alongside in-house teams as strategic partners, not just advisers
