KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Terri Mottershead

Executive Director, Centre for Legal Innovation (Australia, New Zealand and Asia-Pacific); Chair, Queensland Law Society GenAI in Legal Practice Working Group

Terri collaborates internationally with leaders of legal businesses to transform capabilities and practices. She leads CLI’s global initiatives including the Generative AI Initiative, Legalpreneurs Lab and The Legalpreneurs Sandbox podcast. She has been a thought leader in people-centred legal practice innovation for more than 30 years.

Terri serves as Chair of the QLS’s Generative AI in Legal Practice Joint Working Group and is the Chair of the QLS’s Innovation Committee. She is a Fellow of the College of Law Practice Management (United States) and was recently recognised by the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) as one of five global Influential Women in Legaltech 2024 Honorees.

Prior to joining CLI, Terri was a practising lawyer, founded start-ups on three different continents, and established or led the talent management functions for global firms and associations in Asia and the US including Lex Mundi, the Inter-Pacific Bar Association, and DLA Piper LLP (US).

Matt Dunn

Chief Executive Officer, Queensland Law Society

Matt is the Chief Executive Officer of Queensland Law Society (QLS).

Appointed in March 2024, Matt was previously General Manager – Advocacy, Guidance and Governance for QLS. Originally joining QLS in 2005, he departed to take up a national policy leadership role with the Law Council of Australia in 2014, before returning to raise his family in Brisbane.

Matt’s extensive industry experience places him in the unique position of having a strong understanding and insight into the issues affecting the modern profession. An advocate for ensuring practitioners have affordable and accessible resources to build and maintain their practice, Matt is proud to be in such a position of trust to guide and enable the profession.
