World Elder Abuse Awareness Day Breakfast | 7.30-9am
Mark this year’s World Elder Abuse Awareness Day by joining your peers and colleagues for breakfast to share ideas, discuss current issues, and explore progress for the future.
With around 15% of Australians 65 years and over experiencing at least one recognised form of elder abuse each year, it’s more important than ever that we stand together against the abuse, mistreatment and neglect of older people.
Hear from the Age Discrimination Commissioner on current issues surrounding elder abuse and his vision for the role of the Commission in safeguarding older Australians.
